Review and Removal Policy

Last reviewed: July 2026

This Review and Removal Policy explains how VET Sector Directory, part of CAQA Groups and a Career Calling International initiative, reviews the listings it publishes, keeps directory content current, and handles requests to correct, update, suspend or remove a listing. It applies to the businesses listed in the directory, to the registered training organisations, TAFEs, higher education providers and other education professionals who use the directory, and to anyone else who wants to raise a concern about listing content on this website.

How listings are reviewed before publication

Every listing starts as an application through our listing form, through which we collect the applicant’s business name, contact name, email address, phone number, primary service category, location, website address and a description of services. Applications go through the verification process described in our Verification Disclaimer: submitted credentials, references from RTO clients, demonstrated VET sector experience and a commitment to maintain current professional standards. We aim to respond to applications within two business days, and nothing is published until verification is complete.

Ongoing review of published listings

Published listings are reviewed periodically to confirm that the information remains accurate and that the listed business continues to meet the directory’s standards. We also act on information that reaches us between reviews, including updates from the listed business itself, feedback from directory users and matters raised through our Complaints and Feedback process.

Correcting or updating your own listing

If you are a listed business and your details change — your contact details, location, service offering, category, credentials, memberships, insurances or anything else that affects the accuracy of your listing — email info@caqa.com.au or use our contact page with your business name, the listing details to be changed and the corrected information. We aim to action straightforward corrections within five business days. Changes that affect verification, such as a new service category or a change of ownership, may require supporting evidence before they are published.

Reporting an inaccurate or misleading listing

Anyone may report a listing they believe is inaccurate, outdated, misleading or otherwise inconsistent with the purpose of the directory. Send the listing name, the specific concern and any supporting information to info@caqa.com.au, call 1800 266 160, or use the contact page. We will acknowledge the report, review the listing against the information provided, and where appropriate give the listed business an opportunity to respond or substantiate its claims before we decide the outcome. We do not publish user reviews on listings, so concerns are handled through this reporting pathway rather than through public comments.

Grounds for editing, suspending or removing a listing

We may edit, suspend or remove a listing where the information is or becomes inaccurate, outdated or misleading; where claims cannot be substantiated when we ask for evidence; where the business no longer meets the directory’s verification standards or does not respond to reasonable requests to reconfirm its details; where content is unlawful, defamatory or promotional in a misleading way; where a complaint about the listing is upheld; or where the listing is otherwise inconsistent with the purpose of the directory. Suspension is used where an issue appears resolvable, and the listing is restored once the issue is fixed; removal is used where it is not.

Removal at the listed business’s request

A listed business may ask for its listing to be suspended or removed at any time by emailing info@caqa.com.au from a known contact address. We aim to action removal requests within five business days and will confirm when the listing has been taken down. Because no payments are taken through this website and listings are currently free, removal involves no refund considerations. A business whose listing has been removed — at its own request or ours — may reapply later through the standard application and verification process.
